Week One | Establishing the 90-Day Plan + Goals
Specific goals and desires to be met will be solidified as well as linking them to a comprehensive list of internal and external motivating factors that will be used throughout the program. We will also identify what obstacles need to be addressed which may be in our way of the success we desire.
Week Two | Energy Foods
Recognizing what foods add to, and which ones take away form our energy reserves is unique for each individual. A number of experiential exercises will help determine which foods are optimal for your overall well being. Clients will also begin to understand “how” to eat and relate with their meal times more effectively to improve digestion and satiation.
Week Three | Interpreting Messages From Our Body
This week we will flip our reactions to food and meal times 180 degrees to gain a better understanding of how to respond to the messages from our body. Why am I hungry at certain times and why do I have specific cravings that make me want to eat (or binge!) on certain foods, all will be made clear.
Week Four | Our Behaviors linked to Pleasures
What we choose to do is driven by the benefits we receive and or the consequences linked to not doing them. As humans, we participate in things that bring us pleasure and work towards a sense of belonging. We will identify what your pleasures are, how to honor them and how your need to belong influences your behaviors.
Week Five | Avoiding the Pitfalls
It happens to all of us, we do great for a while however after our mind and body endures a certain amount of change it automatically wants to default to its baseline setting. True transformation is about breaking the circuitry that has been solidifies within us for decades and that can be uncomfortable. Uncomfortable enough for most of us to self-sabotage unconsciously. We address this reality here to keep us moving towards inevitable success.
Week Six | Bringing Back the Joy
Adults become programmed over time to behave a certain way and typically engage in certain activities which become protective and comfortable to our image, egos and body. Children however act and react to the world around them to maximize their enjoyment of life intuitively and we will learn that adopt that organic engagement with our environment here taking control of our own happiness with each day we have.
Weeks Seven – Ten | Dismissing Stress + Prioritizing Relaxation
Identifying our stressors is essential for our optimal health and wellness. Where does it come from, how am I enabling it and what can I do about it? Recognizing where our personal stress comes from and how to take control of it is a powerful tool we will master. The ability to dismiss stress quickly and effectively typically dictates whether your next decisions will be optimal or sub-par. The ability to ‘Re-Frame’ what we are currently experiencing with greater truth and understanding is the powerful take-away from these sessions.
Week Eleven | Capacity Check-In
Here we will reflect on the progress made and assess how we feel about it. The challenges it has posed and the potential that still resides. Where are we with our previously established goals and are we in need of creating new goals that take us even deeper and further towards an even greater vision of what our best self looks like?
Week Twelve | Celebrate What’s Next
With a new and improved empowerment to position ourselves to receive our best health, we celebrate our journey. In recognition of our successes over 90 days we will also determine what is the next logical step for us to maintain or still improve where we now envision ourselves to be next. A plan to build upon the amazing new behaviors we have been living for nearly 3 months now becomes the focus of our discussion to allow this new self to flourish even further. Having been methodically stretched into a more powerful and capable you, how will you choose to continue stretching into something even greater for your family, business, finances, relationships and more!
A little bit o’ science
Toxic chemicals abound in the world today – they easily find their way into our body through the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink. We also ingest foreign chemicals when taking medicinal or illicit drugs, or when using alcohol or tobacco.
Although the body is designed to be self-cleaning and to excrete these toxins, it cannot always handle the overload present in today’s environment. Chemicals not excreted accumulate in our fat cells and cell membranes and become internal toxins.
When the body is under stress, it releases those toxic waste products from the fat to circulate in the bloodstream. These toxins can damage the protective intestinal lining, literally corroding the body from the inside out; making it a less effective filter for the good nutrients we might be bringing in. The more it is damaged, the less effectively it absorbs nutrients, and the more toxins pass into the blood and lymph systems. This is why elimination is so important during a cleanse! We aim to eliminate toxins from the body to avoid toxic overload.
What Are Symptoms Of Toxic Overload?
To avoid these symptoms and effectively reset the body it is important to keep all of the body’s channels of elimination open and functioning well. A number of cleansing activities are recommended in this cleanse, beyond changing your diet. The time and loving attention you devote to these activities for your body during your cleanse will be richly rewarded with improved health.
It is believed by nutritionally oriented health care practitioners that specific food allergies are related to metabolic toxicity. Symptoms from apparent food allergies may result from reduced enzyme concentrations and from intestinal bacterial endotoxins. One classic approach to eliminating or minimizing symptoms associated with food allergies is using a hypo-allergenic diet or elimination diet (which is the approach we’ll be using in this cleanse).
Foods that most commonly cause symptoms of a food allergy or toxicity are gluten containing grains, dairy products, eggs, soy, caffeine, yeast, sugar (and its many forms), dried fruits, citrus fruits and sometimes poor food combining. Avoidance of these foods has led to relief of symptoms in many individuals. By reintroducing these foods back into the diet individually, you will be able to see clearly how your body reacts to that food.
